MARCHÉ DE DELPHINE
Vaud / Fruits and Vegetables
Description of the offer
After a childhood spent on the farm, an apprenticeship as a cook and a second apprenticeship in pastry-making and confectionery, Delphine worked for several years in the restaurant of a well-known hotel.
When her first child was born, family life was not compatible with the restaurant business, so she gave up her professional activity to take up the torch from her parents and grandparents, starting out in the Vevey markets for several years.
Subsequently, in order to comply fully with hygiene standards, Delphine's Marché acquired new premises in Puidoux (VD), where a professional kitchen and storage area were installed.
Delphine and her family still harvest a few fruits and berries, as well as some other wild produce, while the rest of the raw materials are harvested from her aunt's garden and bought from local producers, all the while respecting purchase prices so that everyone wins.
The winegrowers' festival and the relocation of the artisans to other sites was an opportunity to give up the markets and specialize in sales to various grocery retailers and tourist kiosks.
This new way of selling ensures the quality of the products by avoiding regular transport and temperature differences.
In 2023, Delphine was lucky enough to win a Gold Medal at the Concours Suisse des Produits du Terroir in Courtemelon (JU).
Almost all Delphine's products are Vaud + certified.
